The Basile Pig Barn | 2000 W Stagg Ave, Basile, LA 70515

A celebration of all things swine, sunshine, and small-town good times.

The Louisiana Swine Festival, founded in 1966, is Basile’s signature cultural celebration. It all began with the Southwest Louisiana Swine Association, formed in 1963 to support the local hog industry through regular feeder pig sales held at what’s now known as the Pig Barn. The success of those events—and a growing desire to promote Basile’s culture and attract visitors—sparked the creation of the Louisiana Swine Festival Association. Today, the festival honors those roots with a weekend of food, music, and hometown pride.
